Nit Noi Cafe in Houston

One of the best Curry’s in town if you haven’t tried your missing out would recommend the red curry :)

During my lunch break, I decided to venture out and look for something to eat. I stumbled upon this café, went in was seated promptly. We asked for a water, and the lady (waitress) brought it back 15 minutes later. Food was pretty quick, about 10 minutes after we ordered it. Once we got done eating, the lady hands us our checks, we pay and then she brings us the receipt to sign. We leave no tip, and the lady gets mad and asks us why we left no tip?! She asked us in a loud voice, which made me feel bad for her and I ended up scratching out the 0.00 and putting a $3 tip. Worst service ever, and plus the waitress expected a tip, on such a poor service. 1/10 will not go here again. First and last time.. Pad Thai wasn't even that good. Please look elsewhere.

Great place. Food was really good. I wish the menu had a better description of what is included in each dish. I was googling the dishes to understand what I might expect. Other than that, great place.

Fast service, good food and not expensive

Pretty decent place. They have several dishes that are vegan. The waiter didn’t know if the curries were vegan but when I ask he said that they were made with coconut milk. I had the green curry tofu. It was tasty!

I have always loved Thai food. This one however was a bad experience. Their Thai Ice tea is good. My to go Thai fried chicken with rice was just so bad. I couldn't eat it. Posting a picture soon.

The food here is delicious but the service is not good. The waitress/owner forgot about our table and then after finally taking our order she forgot our drinks again even after our food came. I wish I could give more stars but they need better servers or just more of them. I still left a decent tip because that is someone's livelyhood but I wanted them to know they could improve their service to match the quality of their food. I will be going again because the food is good.

Would be a great Thai spot in rural Wyoming but in downtown Houston this place falls flat. If you want mediocre Thai this is your place. PROS: prompt and accurate service, so at least its fast

the service is terrible. and if u order take out before u go ....it is a lieways wrong. they r rude and I always feel uncomfortable at this location.

Ordered a dish to go during lunch. When I left the restaurant I realized I had forgotten the bag with the food at my table. When I called a couple hours later to pick it up they said they had thrown it out and would not remake it. Seriously?! In addition, the other people Who were in my lunch group did not like their dishes. The fried rice was flavorless and sweet-and-sour dish was strangely runny, like soup. Rice was hard and other items just blah. Would not recommend this this place.

Nice and tasty food. Prices are okay, during lunch it is sometimes crouded, but you can eat at the bar as well

I ordered the crispy rolls and chicken wrap. Literally the worst meal that I have had in years. The crispy rolls are egg roll size and were nothing but wrapper and cabbage with literally 1 shred of carrot (not Thai). The lettuce wraps were served with a ¼ head of iceburg lettuce and the chicken was swimming in grease. It was so salty and greasy that I gave up after 2 bites. 1 bite from 1 crispy roll and 2 bites of chicken wrap and was charged $16 with a shrug. Off to find someplace for lunch now.

Tasty. Sometimes it's worth it to get amazing egg rolls. Very friendly. Newly renovated. Very tasty. Taste before everything! Tasty.

I loved it the food was really great especially their curry it was delicious. 👍🏻😁And the service was excellent the waiters were very polite.

Thai food and the setting at this place is excellent. Arrived at six, it was not packed. Staff treated us so nice. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.

You've got to taste the spring rolls here. Omg they are the best I've ever had in life. I'm going there every day that I work.

I went with 2 other people and everyone had the same opinion, proportions small for price, food bland and the service sucks. There were barely any people in there, food took a long time, our food did not come out at the same time. No one came to see if we needed anything else. It took forever to get our ticket when u saw we were done. When our credit cards came back she dropped them all in front of me and walked off. No thank you, no passing out each one of the cards. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Service is horrible the woman that works in the restaurant is rude it took forever just to order a glass of water. Not good service at all will not go back.

I enjoy the food because the restaurant is right next to my building..but the lady that works the front is extremely rude and dry.I've been on 2 occasions where she has totally overlooked myself and a coworker. I will NOT be spending my money there any more!Very rude

I eat lunch here frequently and take out of town guests here for dinner. Do not believe the bad customer service reviews ... they will bend over backwards to give you a great dining experience. For a treat get the Mussaman Curry!!Note many of the bad reviews are from many years ago.

Nit Not cafe was like a boon to me when I was in Houston, I am a vegetarian, I could get vegetable Tofu rice which was excellent, the service was superb. I would recommend this hotel to every one who visit Houston.

The Ginger Fried Rice is so good and has just the right amount of kick. #Delicious

No lunch menu. A little over priced. $15 for a basic dish, (ginger vegetables w/a protein, which comes with a small bowl of white rice), and an iced tea. Beverages are not listed on the menu, so not sure if there are different sizes but they served me a 32oz. cup.The guy that took my order actually had food in his mouth and was actively chewing when he came to the table.I probably wont return.

One of my favorite locations for delicious thai food. This place is absolutely one of my favorites. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

Food is good but if you are halal eater or vegetarian be careful, they are not very careful about keeping meat separate. I ordered shrimp green curry but got chicken curry, when I told waiter I ordered shrimp, she took it back and just picked out chicken from it and put shrimp in it and brought it back. There were still some chicken pieces left in it.

My fav location for quality Thai food. Got there about one, it wasn't busy. It has a great feel to it. I can see why they have a lot of positive reviews.

First I was addicted to the Putt-Thai corrat; as in I would crave it for days on end and end up getting it 3 times a week.Then I had their chicken curry. 😲 The smoothest texture, savory flavor. I'm not even a curry guy and now I can't stop ordering it.Big plus, the owners are super friendly. Just be aware that they do close between lunch and dinner, so hopefully you won't have a craving for their dishes between those hours (like me everyday).

Predictable ethnic specialties in convenient location

This venue boasts a delectable variety of Thai Dishes that have pleased the pallet for over 20yrs. Make sure to prep your patience as the Staff, while awesome, doesn't get in a hurry. Order to go, or dine-in. A cozy, casual, but flexible atmosphere that you can dress up or down.

Good spicy Thai food.

Food was really good, red curry was rich and creamy. Menu items are not descriptive.

Curry was Pretty good for something close to the office. Service started off cold and unresponsive but as I proactively smiled I got a few small smiles back.

They have the BEST Chicken curry in town!!!I love the yellow curry! Place has a nice atmosphere but parking lot is fairly small.

I was overnighting in Houston and Nit Noi was near the hotel. Food was very good (red curry) and service was friendly and, of course, the price was very reasonable. Well worth a visit.

Ordered delivery and I am writing this review shortly after I got it. The food was super oily and tasteless. Not spicy even though I ordered spicy. Anywhere has better Thai food.

This restaurant has decreased their quality and service considerably. We ordered beef curry, and they brought out chicken curry. We told them they had made a mistake and asked them to bring the right dish to us. The waitress told us that we would have to wait a while because there were other orders ahead of us. I would have expected that if they made a mistake they would give priority to correct it. When they finally brought the food to us it tasted some what strange like the beef had a frozen/processed flavor and the curry sauce was not as good as before.

2 People front Service is swamped at Lunch hours. The food is a full plate for $9, don't forget to ask for spicy. The beef in my noodles looked like hamburger but had the consistency of cubed-steak. Not bad, just not special enough for the travel from downtown.
